..::Sony PSP Downloads werden Kostenpflichtig!!::..

www.yourpsp.com hat jetzt eine neue Idee, um die PSP Gamer zu verärgern. Der Downlaodbereich wurde in einen Shop geändert, bei dem die Downloads (Demos, Videos, Musik etc.) kostenpflichtig sind. Noch sind die Downloads kostenfrei aber das wird sich sicherlich bald ändern. Aber ehrlich gesagt hab ich persönlich nie wirklich das Verlangen da was runterzuladen. Denn ausser B-Musikanten, die eh keiner kennt und ein paar 0-8-15 Videos und Fotos hat die Seite nichts mehr reizvolles zu bieten.
Aber trotzdem: DANKE SONY!!

Ich habe mir die Woche das Game CollecTic für die PSP mal runtergeladen. Ich finde es seitdem genial. Man muss sich in diesem Spiel viel bewegen. Es ist Ziel, Wlan access Points zu finden. D.h. ihr müsst draussen rumlaufen und das Wlan anmachen. Diese erscheinen dann als Puzzleteil auf dem Bildschirm, die man dann einfangen muss und zu einem Puzzle hinzufügen muss. Einfach nur genial. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Trailer.

Wenn euch die Preise in Deutschland für einen 4GB Memorystick von Sony zu hoch sind, dann bestellt ihn doch bei Outpost, da gibts den Memorystick für 129.99$.

Bin aber ein bisschen skeptisch was den Preis angeht. Wenn man den Stick nach Europa bestellt, wird er verschifft. Ich denke, dass dann zu dem Wahnsinns Preis noch ein paar Wahnsinns Bearbeitungsgebüren etc. hinzukommen. Also Vorsicht beim kaufen ;-)

Ich war bis vor kurzen auf einer Freibadfete, musste da ein wenig musik machen.
Kurze Beschreibung, auf der Lohe(so heißt des kaff, liegt des Freibad)
Habe nach 2Stunden Techno und immer noch kein Ende in sicht, so gegen ca 01:00 mal mein Handy rausgeholt und bisl videos gedreht.
Habe sie zunächst auf Youtube hochgeladen, doch da Youtube das format vergrößert fangen sie an zu stockeln.
Hier könnt ihr euch die Vids im 3pg.Format runterladen(Quicktime Player)
Sind in einem RaR archiv gepackt.

Ich möchte nicht wissen was die Leute alles gemacht haben als sie noch Jung waren--,
Aber seht selbst. Nicht wundern das der Sound so schrebbelt aber ich tippe mal das wir bei ca 90-100 DB lagen und deshalb das Handy(SonyEricssonw810i) des nit mehr gepackt hat, als Ton schön leise stellen vorher;-)

Tutorial zum Benutzen des PMP Players auf der PSP und dem Konverter auf dem PC

Tutorial
---------

Vorab ist zu sagen, dass das Format PMP es erlaubt, die Videos (.avi etc.) relativ klein zu bekommen und dabei aber keinen Qualitätsverlust. Deswegen benutze ich dieses Format sehr gerne auf der PSP ;-)

Zuerst müsst ihr euch sicher sein, dass ihr Microsoft NET.Framework installiert habt.

Wenn ihr Microsoft NET.Framework drauf habt, kann es losgehen. Geht in den Ordner Konverter in meinem Paket. Da in den Ordner PMP Simple. Es wird ein rosa Fenster geöffnet. Geht in diesem Fenster oben links auf Open und dort wählt ihr euer Video aus. Wenn ihr etwas anderes kopieren wollt als .avi dann geht unten einfach auf Alle Dateien. Wenn ihr euch ein Video ausgewählt habt könnt ihr danach aussuchen wo es gespeichert werden soll. Dafür geht ihr auf Save as und gebt ein Verzeichnis an, wo ihr euer PMP Video hinhaben wollt. Dann noch einen Namen und fertig ists.

Die Defaulteinstellungen des Konverters sollten für den Anfang reichen.

Aber ich habe bemerkt, dass die Videos immer ein bisschen leise wurden nach dem Konvertieren. Wenn das bei euch auch der Fall ist, gibt es eine Option "Video Volume Gain" das stellt ihr einfach auf eine höhere Zahl. Dann wird das Video lauter gemacht.

Wenn ihr alle Einstellungen gemacht habt, geht unten rechts auf Encode PMP.

Das Programm fängt an zu wurschteln und ihr müsst euch nur noch zurücklehnen und warten bis es fertig gewurschtelt hat.

Wenn es fertig ist, habt ihr in dem Ordner wo ihr es reingespeichert habt eine PMP Datei und eine gleichnamige txt. Die txt braucht man nicht. Also löschen.

Wenn ihr das PMP Video auf eurer PSP bestaunen wollt. Kopiert die PMP Datei einfach in den Ordner PSP ----> VIDEO.

Danach kopiert ihr noch die beiden Ordner aus dem PMP Mod v.2.02-Ordner ins GAMES verzeichnis eurer PSP.

Nun nur noch die PSP starten und den PMP Mod v.2.02 starten. Wählt ein Video aus der Liste aus und drückt x oder o. Und schon gehts los.

FERTIG

Ich habe mal ein kleines Sample dazugelegt. Kopiert einfach die PORNO.PMP in den Ordner PSP----> VIDEO. Ist ein kleiner Ausschnitt aus Lord of War ;-)

Nachdem ich euch Awasu vorgestellt habe werde ich euch nun teil an meinen Lieblingsfeeds haben lassen, hier und da werdet ihr neues Futter bekommen.

Lizaswelt ist ein Blog wo ab und an ein unbekannter Redakteur/Journalist (man munkelt unter Fans das es ein Chefredakteur einer großen seriösen Zeitung ist).
Seine leicht Ironische Art zu schreiben, die sehr gut zu lesen ist,trotz der länge der Einträge, laden immerwieder zum kurzen verweilen in der Mittagspause oder Abends zu Feierabend ein. Wer sich nicht für Politik interessiert sollte vielleicht trotzdem mal anfangen zu lesen, denn; was nicht ist kann ja noch werden ;-)

Ein weiteres schönes Feature ist, dass man sich in eine Mailinglist eintragen lassen kann und somit automatisch die neuen Einträge ins Postfach auf der Arbeit/ nach Hause oder auf den feinen Blackberry bekommt.

Ich glaube es hat jeder mitbekommen, dass unsere jute Bundeskanzlerin Frau Merkel wöchentlich einen Podcast online stellt.

Ich habe mir nun auch mal einen angeschaut und muss sagen, er entspricht genau dessen was ich erwartet habe. Erstmal beträgt das Intro & Outro ca. 30Sekunden. Man muss sich dort Frau Merkel mit Persönlichkeiten wie dem Papst, sitzend im Bundestag und viele weitere anschaun.
Nach den besagten 30 Sekunden gehts los: Thematik ist der Autobahnausbau zur Reisezeit. Als Beispiel wird vorallen der Aufbau Ost angepriesen und sie kritisiert soger selber die Bürokratischen unstände in Deutschland. Wer hier ne Fabrik Baun will braucht ca 2jahre bis sie steht. In China ist die Fabrik nach nichtmal 6 Monaten auf touren...
Sie selber sagt, dass es nirgends länger dauert als in Deutschland etwas zu planen, genehmigen und zu realisieren. Ich selber dachte mir nur, wenn sie vielleicht mal öfters ausserhalb der Deutschen Grenzen schaun würden und dort noch ein wenig mehr Klauen würden, würde es diesen Land vielleicht wieder ein wenig besser gehen.

Doch nun fragt ihr euch bestimmt was das ganze gefasel mit der PSP zu tun hat?
Ganz einfach, man kann sich Frau Merkels Geistlosen und Leeren Kamera Blick, extrem verhaltene Mimik, und reinen selbstsarkasmus als mp4 Video für zwischendurch auf die PSP runterladen. Die leeren Worte sind echt gut um 3 Minuten Langeweile totzuschlagen.

Instructions for PSPSet

This is a instruction in how to use the PSPSet Features.
You can download it by clicking on this link
You use this Programm at your own Risk!!! I'm not responsible
when you brick your PSP. But don't worry, this Programm runs very stable.

Change the Gameboot:
--------------------------

1. Put a Gameboot-Video-File on your MS_ROOT. (gameboot.PMF)
2. Go into PSPSet on ypur PSP and select "Change Gameboot".
3. PSPSet will automatically change your Gameboot.

Change Wallpaper:
-----------------------

1. Make your own Wallpaper or take one out of the internet.
2. The Wallpaper has to be 300x170 pxl and has to be .BMP.
3. When you want to change the Wallpaper for the Month Juli for example
you have to rename the .BMP in "07.BMP".
4. Copy this Wallpaper on your PSP MS_ROOT and start PSPSet.
5. Select "Change Wallpaper" --> "Select Month" and select the Month
which you want to change.
6. PSPSet will automatically change the Wallpaper for this Month.

Firmware Tweaks:
-----------------------

1. In the "Firmware Tweaks" Menue you can change the Bootsound, Set your
Firmwareversion to 1.00, 1.50, 1.52 or 2.00 (This only RENAMES your
current Firmware Version!!) Or you can Flash or Backup your
"topmenu_plugin.rco". (With this file you can Change your PSP-Menu with
the Application: "PSP Menu Edit")

Stuck pixel Cleaner:
------------------------

When you have STUCK pixels you can repair them with this feature of
PSPSet. (This won't work, when you have DEAD pixels!)
It takes about 20 min to repair the STUCKED pixels...

Reset all to Default:
---------------------

When you don't like your changes this will
reset all of your changes you've done with PSPSet.

thesheep--, i think everybody is interested to be informed about your opinion about the new downgrader for firmware 2.5 / 2.6, so do not hesitate, to tell it us ;-)
ditlew: I think that it is great that a downgrader solution now exists for both firmware 2.5 and 2.6. Personally I haven’t used it, and as we have mentioned on http://noobz.eu, we are working on a something new for the mentioned firmwares. Another great thing is the modchip, it opens up a lot of possibilities and I’m sure that we are going to see some kuul things coming our way, the next months.

thesheep--, can we say that this breakthrough is a big point for the psp-scene? Which aims can you imagine now for the future? Hack firmware 2.7 or to get an eLoader // eMenu— working there ?
ditlew: I think the breakthrough was the kernel access on 2.5, 2.6. Downgrading has always been a step backwards, though useful at times. Any firmware that Sony tries to push at the psp owners, will be poked for exploits. Not only by Fanjita and I, but also by a lot of skilled not so often mentioned hackers.

thesheep--, the downgrader works through eLoader//eMenu—did you ever think about the possibility that the loader from you 2 guys will make this possible? Everybody knows your opinion that you do not support piracy. Are you afraid of supporting it now indirectly or happy about the possibility for full homebrew compability for nearly 90% of the psp users?
ditlew: I never thought that eLoader could be used for enabling kernel access. But now that it is here, I welcome it, be cause of its much easier debugging possibilities. Piracy is a choice that the end user makes, nothing I can do to stop it.

..::Wie ändere ich meinen PSP Bootsound?::..

Kleines Tutorial zum ändern des Bootsounds der PSP.

Ich übernehme keine Verantwortung für eventuell gebrickte PSPs. Ihr benutzt PSPSet auf Eigene Gefahr. Das Programm läuft aber sehr zuverlässig.

Vorraussetzungen:
--------------------
- PSP 1.5
- Mein Package

Tutorial:
------------

Ladet euch zu allererst mein Package runter und entpackt es auf eurem Rechner:
http://rapidshare.de/files/25089705/PSPSet___Bootsounds.rar.html

- Sucht euch einen Bootsound aus dem Ordner "Bootsounds" aus. (Die Bootsounds kann man sich dann erst auf der PSP anhören, wenn ihr die PSP startet.)

- Kopiert eine "opening_plugin.rco" Datei aus einem Ordner aus dem "Bootsounds" Ordner in das MP_ROOT Verzeichnis auf dem Memorystick. (Ich habe in jeden Ordner den Bootsound als .WAV extrahiert. Diese .WAV Sounddateien aber nur zum anhören auf dem PC benutzen. Kopiert dann nur die "opening_plugin.rco" Datei!!!)

Jetzt das ganze mit PSPSet auf die PSP machen

- Kopiert die Dateien (PSPSet und PSPSet%) aus dem Ordner "PSPSet" in den GAME-Ordner auf euerer PSP.
- Schaltet eure PSP ein und startet PSPSet. (Steckt vorher das Ladegerät in die PSP)
- Dann geht auf "Firmware tweaks" --> "Change bootsound" (Ihr müsst auf jeden Fall die "opening_plugin.rco" in eurem MP_ROOT Verzeichnis haben)
- Euer Bootsound wird dann Automatisch geändert.

Fertig

Wenn euch der Bootsound nicht gefällt könnt ihr Problemlos einen anderen draufmachen. Sucht euch einfach einen anderen aus dem Ordner "Bootsounds" aus.

Wenn euch der Bootsound gar nicht mehr gefällt geht auf "Restore Bootsound" und der original PSP Bootsound ist wieder da.

In Sachen PSP interessieren mich Apps und Mods am meisten (seit ich meine 1.5 hab ist das ja auch kein Problem)

Lua Player v0.16, und wie zu nutzen.

Hier könnt ihr euch den Lua Player Version 0.16 herunter laden. Einfach in das Game Verzeichnis entpacken und eure Lua Homebrew Games/Applications in dern Applications ordner kopieren. Ladet den Lua Player und anschließen könnt ihr games wie Lua Soduku, Color Blocks, einfach starten ;-)

Hey hier gibts mal wieder ein neues Homebrew game von Dragula96.Es geht darum das ihr 5 Steine der gleichen Farbe Vertikal oder Horizontal in einer Linie positioniert. Schafft ihr dies, verschwinden die 5 Steine, jeder Zug der dieses Ziel nicht erfüllt, fügt zufällig Platziert 3 neue Steine hinzu. Benötigt wird der Lua Player v.015+ ;-)

Luamines v0.4 is a clone of the Lumines Homebrew game for the LUA Player. It is an eboot game, so you do not need the lua player, crazy name i think. I have already tested it, and i love it,runs really well, changing levels, with changing sounds and grafics, test it!

Here is the list of changes, and what is still to do.
Changes made in this version are:

* Optimized code for speed(reduced scan cycles) As a result game runs smoother and music plays way better
* Rewrote scanline animation, scan line now moves smoothly across the screen.
* Fixed rotation buttons (now piece only rotates once per button press)
* Added high score keeping
* Added high score and level display in hud
* Added intro screen ;)

Known issues/Bugs/To Do:

* Need to re-draw backgrounds to support new highscore and level display
* Block delete calculation is still not perfect.
* Need to add main title screen
* Need to add new play modes

what is new with version 0.5 :

* Added new color \"effect\" on scanline.
* Added main menu.

Fanjita hat in den letzten Wochen an einer Datenbank gearbeitet zur übersicht aller verfügbaren Homebrews.

Das Interessante an der Sache ist, jeder kann sich anmelden und Homebrews in die Liste eintragen, editieren und aktualisieren. Er setzt vollstes Vertraun damit in die Community das es auch nicht zu missbrauch kommt.

After that many tutorials i think it is time for more homebrew.Here is Supertux Version 2, you jump around through the World of Mario with a penguin. It is very funny to play and kinda crazy when a penguin shots a fireball in an icy world ;-)

Another psptools.de user called dellamorte has just made a tutorial for choice+ lite. You can find the German version of this tutorial by clicking on this link. You can also see the screens much better there then here, i am still working on it.
here it is:

I'm using a GUI for PSP eLoader called Choice+ Lite.
In the following tutorial I want to explain how you can get it
to work on your PSP.

This is Choice+ Lite

1. Download the file by clicking here
2. Unzip the files etc.
Unzip the .rar file to your Harddisk. (the Choice+ Lite file)

3. Copy the files to your PSP
Now copy the complete choice.app folder to your eLoader folder on your PSP.
(The eLoader Folder is in GAMES.)

Then copy the license file to your PSP /root Folder (Not to MP_ROOT!!!)

4. Configure the eLoader

Now you have to open the config of your eLoader and change:
menu=ms0:/psp/eloader/choice.app/contents/psp/eboot.pbp
(Open it withe the Editor. It has to be somewhere above in the config. GLOBAL CONFIGURE)

5. What's the pegi file?

You have to put the pegi file everywhere you have an eboot.pbp file because with the pegi file you can change
some settings. (Open it with the editor)

6. How to get Pictures for the Eboots.

You have to save a picture in .tga Format in the directory where the Eboot.pbp file is. So you can view an image
for the Eboot in the Choice+ Lite Menue.

7. Start and have Fun!!

You have to start the eLoader as usual as normal and you will see, the Choice+ Lite Menue will appear.
Choose an eboot.pbp and press X to start the Game.

Was ist mit der Firmware 2.61 geworden ?

Leider weiß ich es wirklich nicht, ob es sie gibt oder nicht !
Und mit dem läuft Homebrew absolut nicht ! Auch mit Gta Eloader nicht !! Also Achtung beim Kauf

Ps: Die Firmware 2.61 ist im Basic Pack drinne !

Mit welcher Version läuft der Iso Loader !

Es Läuft nur mit der 1.00 und 1.50 ab 1.51 läuft nichts mehr !

Was ist wichtig beim Kauf ?

Wenn ihr ohne Gta Eloader Homebrews abspielen wollt und Iso Loader benutzen wollt, dann holt euch die Version 1.00-1.50-2.00, aber ihr müßt 2.00 downgraden, das erklär ich auch noch !
Wenn ihr auf Homebrew verzichtet, dann kauft euch ab 2.01 eine PSP
Ps: Mit dem Eloader könnt ihr später mit der neuen Version auch Homebrew abspielen, aber kein IsoLoader !

Ab welcher Version kann man downgraden ?

Nur bis 2.00 !

Wie kann ich 2.00 auf 1.50 downgraden ?

Anleitung:
Kopiert alles, wie es in der *.rar ist. Startet eure Psp und wählt im Photo ordner die overflow.tiff und öffnet sie! Jetzt kommen 3 Zeilen und eure Psp geht automatisch aus ! Lasst eure Psp 10 Sekunden aus und macht sie wieder an ! Jetzt geht zu Spiel und geht ganz runter zu Memorystick, klickt drauf und wählt Firmware Update 1.50 aus und startet es. Nachdem ihr es gestartet habt, klickt immer x und >>>> so jetzt installierts bei 99 % bricht es ab ! und schaltet eure psp aus ! Macht sie an und ihr habt version 1.50!!!

Super Nintendo zb: *.smc
Commodore 64 : *.D64
Gameboy : *.gb

After you have installed the eLoader & eMenu-- it is time to setup your first homebrew game. Extract the homebrew.rar and open the folder. Now you should see 2 folders like: homebrew and homebrew%. If you have Firmware 2.01 - 2.06 you only have to copy the homebrew folder, not the homebrew%(it is only for firmware 1.5 psp) into your PSP/Game folder.

ms0:/psp/game/homebrew
ms0:/psp/game/2ndHomebrewGame

Now you have copied your first homebrew game on your memorystick. Now start GTA.
When it is loaded, go into the menu and select load game. There you can choice the eLoader, press x and the eMenu will load.

If everything is installed correctly you have now a list, and can start your homebrew by pressing the X or 0 button.

just a small tutorial how to install the eLoader & eMenu--.
To use the eLoader you must have GTA Liberty City. Download the eLoader v0.97 by clicking on this link.

Now get sure that you have connected your psp to your pc.
Now make a backup of your savegame folder.

Start the automatic installer and select your psp folder and follow the instructions, note that it will override some
of your GTA savegame, maybe u can not use it anymore, but normally GTA still loads.

Since there are some problems with eLoader v0.97 i prefere to install eMenu--.
eMenu is more stable then the eLoader and much quicker.
Download the automatic installer from eMenu-- by clicking here.

Just follow the instructions again and now you are prepared for the world of Homebrew. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via eMail, or visit psptools.de and ask there ;-)

Now you should read the tutorial how to install homebrew correctly.

Load a Game via USB?

Hey mates, i have found something interesting, thanks for this to hakan_2 a user on psptools.de.

Here is a video where someone is loading a game via USB. Yes a real ISO get's loaded via USB cable, i do not know if it is real or fake, so i asked Ditlew about it.

Boxy II v0.1 for PSP

Ein schöner Lumines Clone ist nun zum download bereit, wie von Tetris bekannt fügt ihr hier viereckige Blöcke aneinander. Ein Block besteht immer aus vier einzelnen Blöcken mit unterschiedlichen Farben. Ziel ist es immer soviel gleichfarbige Blöcke wie möglich aneinander zu bekommen.
Level für Level kann man neue Skins freischalten. Eigene Hintergründe und Themes könnt ihr ebenso einbaun.

Neues Lua Soduko v0.9c

Hier gibts die neuste Version eins meiner lieblings Homebrew Games, Lua Soduko. Ein kleines Logik Spiel mit dem Ziel das in jeder Spalte, Zeile und jedem Block(3x3 Felder), nur einmal die Zahl von 1-9 enthält.

Dungeon Generator

Es gibt die ersten schritte in richtung 3D in sachen Homebrew, der dungeon generator generiert auf der Basis von Textfiles (ASCII) den Level, wo ihr anschließend durchlaufen könnt. Bleibt abzuwarten wie sich nun die 3D entwicklung weitergeht, und ob, die szene, die 2d ja richtig zu schätzen weiß, es annimmt. Mich errinert das Bild an die alten Windows screensaver ;-)

Will Homebrew ever meet Sony???

Homebrew, the most beautiful feature of the psp, resurrected games like pong, tetris, maniac mansion are bonding us for hours behind our psp with a big fat smile, maybe sometimes bigger than seeing our girlfriend naked? Always looking for the newest homebrew games, emulators and eboots, but what for? Downloading and testing new homebrews, versions of the eLoader kinda daily, but why do we have that behavior?

15-20 years earlier, many of us, at the age of 5, had a game boy, playing tetris & mario for hours, even on the wc, watching the Super Mario TV show every Saturday morning, simply happy to see our favourite characters out of our favourite games like, super mario brothers, mega man and sonic saving the world again against the axis of evil. You can really say the generation born in the 80's has the first "decent digital education". Always seeing our parents with a couple of question marks over their had how we can play even on the wc… wasn't it a nice childhood? (sorry @ my older readers that I do not mention the evolution of the atari and commodore systems, but I started with gb, snes etc…)

I think I can say that many of you have done the same things, like grabbing out the old consoles, setting up a beamer, buying some sixers, and play gin half of the night these classic games with your mates ;-). If you have not done this yet, do it, it is a pleasure…

In nower days you can see us with a high end portable console with graphic acceleration , gigabyte sticks full of emu's and classic games on it, instead of movie's and music files, playing 2d games with crappy, stucky funny sounds instead of the newest high end 3d rendered and shadered game.

It's a time travel back to basics of our childhood/boyhood, isn't it?

When you have the same behavior, then you also adore the psp. It is really comfortable console with having thousands of possibilities, but does sony adore it too?

In my opinion, they do not adore it.

With bringing out regulary new firmwares, closing the security holes, and punishing us to install it with the newest game, they make us going angry and crazy. The don't want homebrew, but why? Do we deal any damage with it, or is it the simple war "producer against hackers" ? We know about the iso loaders, people downloading iso files instead of buying a good game.
I think sony is afraid of a breakthrough again on firmware 2.01+, to set up iso loaders there too, that's why they close all security holes, and on this way our lovely homebrews.

I would like to quote Fanjita at this point:

Homebrew does not damage the image of sony, it is just another argument to buy a psp. If sony was clever, they would support people like Ditlew & Fanjita, with intigrating an eLoader in the firmware and running signed eboots. Sony should set up a department checking homebrew games, and signing them, to start them legally, or kinda another solution. If you have one, mention it in the comments!

Maybe a big signature list may help us, with thousands of entries for legalizing and authenticate hombrews , because most homebrews use the shareware version of the games, which is free to use. Even the source codes have already been published, and are free for use like Duke Nukem 3D and Quake 2.
Another reason is that people like MrZonck (quake 2 for psp developer) have a intigrated iso scanner in their homebrew, and they do not start if they detect a umd loader.

Sony, do you see that even a big part of the homebrew scene does not support iso loaders?...

We have to do something, because we want to use our psp as gps navigation tool when
it will be released, but we do not want to miss our homebrew!

thesheep: Let's start with eMenu final, how long took the development now till the final release has been ready and approved? What have been the major problems, and where they kinda simular to the problems while the development of the eLoader?

Ditlew: It didn’t take long make eMenu--. The code is kept really simple, and is a really easy to overlook and maintain. Based on the experience from the old menu, I knew what I wanted. Fanjita has at some point made a menu called ‘BasicMenu’ what we have used for testing. It was even simple than eMenu—and was more like a textbased filebrowser, but I liked its simplicity. I wanted to take that simpleness into eMenu--. The menu is something that should always work, and I wanted to know that when we sees a problem, it isn’t due to the menu. The biggest problem has been getting people to read the readme. Too often people ignores the readme, and then complains about the resulting problems. eMenu-- isn't as forgiving as the old menu, but there is a reason for that.

thesheep: Firmware 2.7 is just released, as we all know gta exploit is locked now, how high do you see the chance to find a new exploit , and have you already started for searching one?

Ditlew: There will most likely be a new exploit, maybe not on 2.7, but then on one of the future firmwares. If people have updated to 2.7, they have done so with their eyes open, and we feel not pressure to find any exploit any time soon. We are of cause looking but we sees the 2.0 – 2.6 as our ‘target users’ atm.

thesheep: Last but not least, a user asked if there is a possibility go develop programs like mirc for the psp.

Ditlew: Sure, I think there already are such a homebrew, not sure though. The biggest problem is the lack of a keyboard L But codewize there is no problems creating a IRC client for the psp.

thesheep: Your next aims what you want to get working on the psp?

Ditlew: Not sure atm. eLoader can more or less do everything at the moment, all it takes is the developers to support it, instead of blindfolded aiming a 1.5 as a target platform. We still got some stuff we wanna add/fix, but we are in no hurry.

Sony released firmware 2.7

My first sensefull entry, will be a kind of a column/artikel -.-. I think the design is finished now, just small thinks still to do, but let's stop talking about my blog, and let me give you the latest news for our psp's.

For some of you it is a surprise, for others it is a possibility and for the rest was sure that firmware 3.0 would be the next firmware. But what does it mean, firmware 2.7? It does not have many advantages, and i will shortly mention the 2 most important features.

The AAC audio format is added now but more exciting is the included flash player now for the browser. Many of you have been waiting for it, but this firmware has a real huge disadvantage.

We all know about the eLoader which is written by Fanjita and Ditlew. A very nice tool using a bug in the GTA save game, to load a loader for loading homebrews. Most of you will know about the emu's like SnesXTyl, the C 64 emu with his crappy but funny sounds and many many more ...

The minor sensation is that sony locked the save game exploit, but why are they doing this? The homebrew compability is for many of us the main reason for buying a psp. In my opinion the homebrew scene does not deal damage to sony and their image of the psp. The only way to load Homebrews now on 2.7+ will be to find out the encryption from sony, which is really impossible. We have to hope that there is a new security leck in the added features..

Well Sony, the psp with its price and its functions is a reason to buy it for people who are 20+, but why do you take them the homebrew compability away? We love our old games on the best portable console on this planet?!

Only the future can tell us if we can find a new exploit to run our lovely homebrews on 2.7...
